The FlameSightCem System is a modular system for the cement industries and is designed for monitoring the clinker production process in the sintering zone in a rotary kiln and for monitoring of the formation of the clinker bed at the grate cooler. The sensors are specially developed for the rough environment in the cement industries for non contact on-line detection of process characteristics. For this reason the system does not contain any moving parts in the process. This characteristic feature extends the life time of the system and minimizes the maintenance effort. The Sensors consists of industrial air purged and water cooled systems with boroscopes as optical lens systems, CCD-chip color cameras, glass fiber optical components for the spectroscopy and field control cabinets for data pre-processing of the video and sensor signals, video monitors and optionally the system PC in the process control room.

Software with prognostic function the on-line prediction of the formation the free lime content in the clinker at the end of the sintering process. This is a fundamental measure of the quality of the clinker and it’s degree of burning. | |
